Green Mountain
Above Express Creek and the 10th Mountain Division Markley Hut is a small mountain known as Green Mountain. There are some short steep chutes dropping Northeast from the summit, and to the East of that is a mellow North ridge with meadows dropping to the Northwest. You can access the terrain via that North ridge. There is a lot of high-risk avalanche terrrain up in this zone. The entrance/exit gully to the North is exposed to avalanche paths that come down from above. The alternate exit route to the Northeast is itself a wide avalanche path.
