Richmond Ridge
Aspen Powder Tours operates snow cat skiing on Richmond Ridge to the South of Aspen Mountain out of the backcountry access gate. This terrain can be skied and reclimbed as long as you stay out of private property. Although much of these terrain is moderately pitched and sees a lot of skier traffic, avalanche danger is still high, and burials have occured in McFarlane Gulch and in Hurricane Gulch. Little Annie Basin is on the West Side, and on the East Side you'll find McFarlane Bowl, and then Wine Tree and Ptarmigan. There are other zones that can be skied as well, but stay off of private property and away from the snow cat operation.
