Durr Chutes

The East facing Durr Chutes are big slide paths that threaten Castle Creek Road, and should not be skied if there is any amount of avalanche risk, as a slide in one of them could easily bury the road and kill innocent bystanders. They are named for Lynn Durr, who died here in an avalanche in 1991 while cross-country skiing below the chute.
