Triple A Couloir

A steep, narrow, technical North facing chute that has extremely high avalanche danger and is threatened by other slide paths from above that join it midway down. This is a very dangerous couloir and is prone to wind slab formation, which can start building up midway down the run and surprise you with a deadly avalanche. The couloir gets very narrow at the bottom. Never drop into a zone in the backcountry if other people are in it below you. Wait until you're sure everyone is out of the couloir, or find another objective to ski.
