Black Lake Cliffs

This North-Northeast facing zone drops down to Black Lake and is clearly visible from the highway. There's a big cliff band up top and several smaller but still sizable cliffs down below it. These cliffs can act as great terrain features but also are sources of frequent avalanches. This zone, like most of Vail Pass, is typically accessed with sleds, but the access is quick and easy and could be done on skins as well.
