Big Sam

Big Sam

Big Sam is a huge, steep, incredibly dangerous gully coming West off Peak 4 down to the bike path on I-70. This line has many narrow chokes including one that makes it almost unskiable as there are frozen waterfalls blocking the way. The danger in this zone from rocks, ice, and avalanches is enormous. You would not want to access this line from the top, because of the near certainty that you would get stuck at the cliff zone or find that the lower section was melted out or frozen to solid ice.
